I heard for the class of 2019 they took a significant amount of kids off the waitlist but for the class of 2018 they barely touched the waitlist. All you can do is wait and pray you get a call. I didn't send in any additional materials because I had given up at that point but perhaps it would be helpful especially with you being out of state.

A waitlist for housing would be like that waitlist for the university- a chance of being able to get a contract but as of now NOT in Res Halls. I would not count on that chance.
